The GLOBE particulate matter project is an example of using the Measure Together infrastructure for an educational project. GLOBE is a worldwide citizen science organization for schools. The goal of GLOBE is to provide students with the opportunity to work together with scientists to contribute to environmental and climate observations.
GLOBE Netherlands - particulate matter
GLOBE in the Netherlands together with the Measure Together team created a particulate matter project. 'Young researchers' measure particulate matter with a DIY particulate matter sensor kit. They measure around the school or in their own backyard. The measurements of the GLOBE schools are visible (coded GLB) on the Measure Together data portal. This ensures the connection to the professional scientists. The educational material builds on the Measure Together database and the Analyze Together Tool.
We are working on incorporating the Snifferbike in the educational GLOBE material as well.
